Jet crashes in Borno State

             

A Nigeria Air Force Helicopter



A Nigerian Air Force Mi-35 helicopter that was on a training mission crashed this afternoon in South Bama, Borno. According to a statement signed by Nigeria Defence spokesperson, Chris Olukolade, the jet crashed due to technical fault and not as a result of any enemy action. The statement did not say whether anyone was killed or injured in the crash.

Mr. Chris Olukolade revealed the news by a press statement and also said investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances that led to the crash.
